Alice’s life keeps getting stranger by the day. Despite not believing in fairytales anymore Alice falls into a strange world. Here, she meets the shy rabbit, the posh mouse, the mysterious cat, a cruel hatter, a crying cook and impossible quintuplets. She dances the lobster dance, almost disappears in a teapot and befriends a talking mosquito. Welcome to Wonderland where nothing is what it seems.
In the Moniek Merkx’s version of the famous story Alice turns twelve and celebrates her birthday with a group of bizarre guests. They take you into a world full of mysterious rooms and colorful disguises. With seven players and three musicians Merkx makes a show full of fairytales, live pop music and lots of tea.
Golden Cricket
In 2016 Sanne Danz won a Golden Cricket for most impressive stage performance on her set design for Alice in Wonderland.
