Carole van Ditzhuyzen (1981) began her career as an actress in 1998, performing with companies such as Rotterdams LEF, DOX, Made in da Shade, and Urban Myth. She graduated from the Academy of Theatre and Cabaret in Amsterdam in 2009. During her final year of study, she co-founded the collective Tijdelijke Samenscholing (Temporary Assembly) with several classmates and peers from other programs. In addition to acting and creating theater, Carole taught at various performing arts schools, where she also mentored students in creating their own productions.
From 2016, she worked at DOX, where she headed DOX Club—a part-time development program for young performing arts talent between the ages of 16 and 25. There, she coached emerging performers and was part of the artistic team.
Since 2020, Carole has been the programmer and artistic coordinator of the Maaspodium. She is currently serving as interim artistic director.
