AFROVIBES FESTIVAL

On Friday, October 3, and Saturday, October 4, the 22nd edition of the Afrovibes Festival will take place at Maaspodium, featuring theater, dance, spoken word, and talks from the African continent. The festival theme of Afrovibes 2025 is legacy.

A ticket gives you access per day to that day’s performance and the pre-program. On both days of the Afrovibes Festival, there will be an after-talk in the theater.

The performances are part of the Afrovibes Festival. This annual festival brings dance, theater, and music productions by artists from Africa and the African diaspora to the Netherlands and brings them together. They explore urgent questions that live both there and here and present their own distinctive vision on them.

The 22nd Afrovibes Festival carries the theme of heritage. From October 2 to 12, 2025, African artists in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Haarlem will show how they experience the current spirit of the times and their cultural heritage. They ask what we can learn from the past about courage, ethics, and collective strength. And about the tension between ancient African rituals and modern greed. What legacy will we leave behind for the generations to come?
