LAQUA / 0,5+

LàQua is a short song that echoes from a mother’s womb – the first sound to accompany, protect and soothe life before birth. It is the music of the first journey into the world, a small hymn to life and to water. The title is inspired by the word “acqua” (“water”), referring to playful vocal expression, as found in early hymns and language play.

The soundscape of the performance is a polyphonic chant, built around the rhythms of repetition and early vocal exploration, celebrating the beginnings of voice and existence.

Teatro Koreja, founded in 1985 in Aradeo, is a theatre company based in Lecce, southern Italy. Through performances, festivals and training programmes, it promotes innovation, cultural exchange and social engagement. Nationally and internationally recognised, Koreja works with young people, brings together tradition and contemporary art, and collaborates within European networks.
