IN SHORT: Whatever the weather is a show that brings the wonder of rain, wind and storms to life. Through music, play and a generous dose of imagination, we explore what happens when the weather comes closer.
Drip... drip... drop... Hear the rain is falling!
Drip... drip... drip... plink... plonk... plop... It's pouring from the sky!
If you listen closely, maybe you hear music. And the wind blows until you're spinning in pirouettes.
This sensory, musical performance is a playful journey through the weather. From a single raindrop to a downpour, from a gentle breeze to a howling storm. In an installation of pipes, little pots and fans, a performer explores the elements, while a musician works the controls. Together, they set off on a voyage of discovery, searching for moments of wonder.

About the maker
Rachel Schuit (1993) creates performances and rituals that invite audiences to slow down, listen, and rediscover a sense of wonder.
As a theatre maker and performer, she creates sensory experiences that invite people to reconnect with one another and with the world around them. Her work emerges from the playful body. By making herself as receptive and sensitive as possible, Rachel listens to what a place, a landscape, or an encounter has to tell.
You don't have to be young or old to feel the need to pause, notice what is already there, and allow yourself to be amazed by it. That is why Rachel consciously brings different generations together in her work. Her performances invite both children and adults to meet the world with openness and curiosity.
Rachel graduated from the Theatre Education programme (2018) and the Mime programme (2021) at the Amsterdam University of the Arts. In 2020, she co-founded Platform Nexus, an artists' workspace in Weesp where she continues to develop and create her projects. Since 2024, she has been part of Station Noord, where she continues to expand and deepen her artistic practice.

“Schuit and Meertens gently and organically guide their young audience from one sensory experience to the next. In their hands, watching the weather becomes a true adventure.”
