Across the country

From the moment a production comes into being until the audience leaves the theatre, education is present at Maas. We travel across the country, think along with the makers, and translate the themes into in-depth experiences for children and young people. We see a theatre visit as a total experience: from welcome to post-show discussion, from auditorium to classroom. We develop accompanying programmes such as introductions, workshops, post-show talks and scrapbooks, and we seek local collaborations to connect with the world and experiences of our young audience. We want them not only to watch, but also to feel, think, move and respond. For us, education is not an explanation afterwards, but a creative dialogue – before, during and after the performance. For every production, we create a tailor-made educational plan.
