Maas offers performances, workshops, and projects that connect with the world of young people and young adults. We enjoy collaborating with vocational (MBO), higher professional (HBO), and academic (WO) education programmes. Whether it’s attending a performance with an accompanying workshop, a tailor-made collaboration, or something in between, we are happy to explore how arts education can make a meaningful contribution to your programme.
to attend a performance
Attend an evening performance with your students at the Maaspodium or another theatre in the country, alongside the general audience. On Thursday evenings, the Maaspodium presents specially selected guest programmes for schools and educational institutions. In the 2025/2026 season, we will present the Maas production Double Tap Trap.
Lessons connected to the performance
Are you attending a performance? Our teachers can give a workshop before and/or after the show, tailored to your year group and the chosen performance. This can take place at school or in the theatre. In addition, Maas develops an online scrapbook for each performance, which you can use in the classroom for further exploration.
Tailor-made projects
From short-term projects to long-term collaborations, Maas loves developing customised programmes that meet the needs of your course and year group. We have previously been part of the curriculum for programmes such as teacher training (PABO), arts education courses like Drama Education, and even unexpected fields such as the MBO Food programme at Wellantcollege. Let’s explore the future of education together.
A Full Year of Cultural Coaching
Under the programme Ken dat ik u kunst?, Maas places cultural coaches at several schools in Rotterdam. A cultural coach is part of the school team for the entire school year and is closely involved in developing arts education. In addition to being a theatre or dance teacher, a cultural coach also connects students with other arts opportunities, both within the school and in the surrounding neighbourhood. Maas primarily deploys cultural coaches in its own Delfshaven district.
