We live in a perfect world where we keep pushing ourselves and others into a box. Do this! Do that! Look like this! Not like that! In search of liberation from these expectations, Let's go Barbie presents a liberation dance: A physical quest where everything we have been taught is revisited and rewritten.
In Let's go Barbie, we follow Sue-Ann's story. Sue-Ann lives in a perfect world. A world where everything goes the way she learned. A world where she feels at home. But suddenly something changes and nothing is as it seemed. What follows is a heartwarming escape from her perfect world.
Let's go Barbie is an invitation for anyone who wants to free themselves from compelling expectations of others or yourself. It is a visual, musical and physical performance about adapting and feeling free in a world that sometimes forgets that you have a heart.
