SOUNDS LIKE JUGGLING / 8+

The POI SONORE, the SWAGGLER, the SWINGING SPEAKER. Flying, rolling and spinning inventions. Juggling you’ve never heard before, and music you’ve never seen!

Composer Arthur Wagenaar, juggler Guido van Hout, and designer Dianne Verdonk combined their powers to develop a series of new musical instruments that can be played through juggling. Think resonating sticks, rattling balloons, flying speakers and a giant marble track full of sensors, translating movement into sound. These instruments are used in a unique music-juggling-performance: Sounds Like Juggling. Where juggling and music melt into something totally new.

Sounds Like Juggling is all about patterns. Patterns in music, in juggling, and in life. The power and the beauty of patterns. Being stuck in patterns. And breaking free. Sounds Like Juggling is a fantastic playground of movement and sound, where everything buzzes, crackles, ticks, clashes, falls and flies. Where the rules might change any moment and nothing is impossible.
