Sue-Ann Bel

Sue-Ann Bel (1993, Rotterdam) graduated in 2018 from the Mime Department at the Amsterdam University of the Arts, after previously completing the MBO Theatre School in Rotterdam. In her final year at the MBO Theatre School, Sue-Ann interned at Schwalbe zoekt Massa by Theatre Collective Schwalbe. During her second year at the Mime Department, she created Forever Over together with her classmate Vincent van Woerkom, under the guidance of Sarah Ringoet. They performed this duet at various festivals and at De Parade 2016. Through De Parade, the performance was selected for Het Debuut 2016 by Via Rudolphi and subsequently toured throughout the Netherlands.

Sue-Ann is part of Collectief Het Paradijs, with whom she created the performances Paradijsvertraging and Vormen van Opdringerigheid. At Theater Rotterdam, Sue-Ann presented the exhibition My Black Hair Stories in the spring of 2021, an ode to various hairstyles. In 2024, she is touring with Bitemarks on her tongue, in which she creates space for her own voice.
